This is quite great. We are getting rid of Java “Two”. After the release of Java v5.0, seeing things like J2SE, J2ME and J2EE were ridiculous symbols of the past, like a statue of Stalin in Moscow.

Things are a lot clearer now…

And, not the least, it is a lot clearer in French now: Java EE is “Java Euh Euh”, nobody never really how to pronounce J2EE. It could be either “Gee Dezeuh Euh” or “Gee Dezeuh”. The result was that you look either like a stammerer or a fool.
